I had a series of truly terrible experiences with RTCC. Not one but several.
They never offered to rectify the problem. They never enquired if the work performed was satisfactory. It will take hell freezing over and every other dealer locally to close before I ever go back there. Sad as they are 15 mins from both my home and office and en-route. Nice enough people but something is not right in the care and attention to detail point.

Good news is it prompted me to use SGT where I had an excellent experience.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

At least Morgan dealers don't all provide a sterile and impersonal experience like mainstream dealers do. I've been with the same VW dealer since 2001 and did business with them for several years before that. ( I never used a main dealer for servicing until 2001, doing almost everything necessary from 1970!).
Over the years the service from VW has been very efficient, with only a couple of minor glitches, but the experience is uninvolving and although I've gone there for so long, and although some of the staff are the same, it's very professional and formal.

In contrast, Morgan dealers all seem to be different, and most seem to have off days if the range of stories I hear are anything to go by. I met RT at Silverstone last year and he seems a really nice bloke, but then I also hear stories like this one. I've had my share of issues at Dealers and there are some who are well regarded that I wouldn't use under any circumstances.

So find one you get on with and stick to them!

Nick

When you focus on all the bad points its easy to think badly of the dealer or the issues . Owning an Aero is a journey - First you have the difficulties of fixing the known issues . As Dave mentioned if you stick with it eventually you will have those all resolved and then the fun begins ......I continental tour in an aero is one of the best things , then couple that with all the friends you will meet along the way ...definitely stick with it .... I am in bucks so if you want to meet up we should be at Allon Whites weekend

Keep smiling

Gajet

Yes it all seems to depend on how you get on with them I think, Richard and Helen with whom I dealt with when I bought my first Plus 8 were both charming and helpful. I had no issues with the car so all the right checks had been carried out and the whole event was pleasurable including the first trip back home to Devon.

The true colours are probably only revealed when a problem or multiple problems appear (Nick) and they start eating into their profit margin, but we can all smile on a sunny day it's when it's lashing down that the strength and commitment shows.

There is another dealer that has been praised on here that I wouldn't touch with anybody's bargepole.

Henry at Williams was also a most pleasant buying experience when I bought my Sport off him.

Roger and Steve at Harpers were great where I bought my present Plus 8.

Everyone at BHM were really welcoming and helpful when I called in on an open day.

Allon Whites are a friendly place to call into as well.

Lifes were helpful during my initial car search days too.

Perranwell are a nice friendly place too.

Have a good Bank Holiday and get a few miles on thumbs.

Thanks all, I certainly feel better after spending 9 hours using my machine polisher yesterday, getting her clean and prepping the paint for wax and removing scratches.

Gajet I will indeed be at Allon Whites next weekend 😎

Car dealers are all very nice when you're buying !
They only show their true colours when it comes to warranty work etc.
I will never buy a VAG car or a Mercedes ever again!
Looking to replace my tin top shortly, I suspect it will have slant eyes.
In contrast MMC have been absolutely brilliant in sorting a few problems and modifications with my recent purchase and deserve a pat on the back.

That is heartening news Taff we need a few more of these after the M3W debacle.
