I have just read in Miscellany that the 4 seaters are being withdrawn from production. The intention is that it will be reintroduced again in the future.

I can think of a few reasons but what is the official reason from inside the factory?

would be interesting to hear why.. For some a 4 seater is the only option when it comes to a Morgan. Fun for 4 rather than 2 and lots more practical...

Yes I read that last night and my immediate thought was one of problems with rear occupant safety regulations

The statement about reintroducing them was vague

I love 4 seaters, new and old but sadly I think it might be end of Morgan 4 seaters - I'm surprised they have lasted this long to be fair

My dream of ordering a new one in the next couple of years might be now scuppered

I'm biased but the older ones have better lines than the new ones that look "wrong" (to my eye). That said they all look wrong with the roof up!

A sad day.

I think the best looking with the hood up or with the side screens on is the post 2006 4 seater.. My Dad has just bought a 2007 Roadster 4 seater, its a massive improvement on my 1996 +4 4 seater my previous 1987 4/4 4 seater and my dads old 1979 4/4 4 seater.. Adults can fit in the back with the hood up, it has a very handy boot area and is a lot more solid a car.. Just my thoughts.

Is it a question of low production numbers and rationalising the range I wonder.

I agree about the post 2006 4 seaters having hired 2 of them from Morgan before I got mine

The only thing that I think would improve the aesthetics in my opinion would be having the painted side screen panels painted in a finish to match the colour of the hood rather than the body colour

perhaps it's because demand is low, and MMC want to make things more simple
