It squeaks and moves around, the steering seems to have a mind of its own and it sometimes feels belligerent ... but, flow with it, don't fight, constantly adjust your steering wheel grip, play with the throttle, feel the lean, use the weight transfer for grip, and somehow, it becomes an athlete sprinting to glory.

thumbs i can fully comprehend your words!

You seem to get close(r) to the point of our little quirky cars more & more... cheers

Rattles, the odd squeaks here and there etc. plus the "interesting" steering is to be cured... sherlock

AND: did i by chance ever mention just HOW great your color choice comes out?
No?
Well: it IS a real stumnner (imho of course..)!!!! love

Ive just had a run around North Wales in mine to get a few miles on ready for its first service in the first week of June .
It is booked in at the Factory for the hand brake mod and emissions re map along with one or two other things .
The engine is getting better but still no low down pull yet as Im sticking to the 3,000 rpm limit even though I was humiliated by a youth in a 1.2 Clio near Bala.
My parking LOG has been used on a regular basis.
The noise level I find OK and not at all intrusive but I have given one or two pedestrians a near heart attack in built up areas as it pops and bangs on over run.

great updates on life with the ARP4s. incidentally I had squeaks on my morgan when it was new last year. Drove me mad for a bit until I used vaseline on the bonnet tape and all was quiet again.

I may be imagining it, but low down torque seems to have improved as well.

230 miles today.

I checked the spare wheel when I realised the bolt was not horizontal .. just as well I did, the bumpy roads had loosened it quite a bit; it took about 6 turns to tighten!

today's roads not as bumpy, but when I checked in the evening, it needed a mere 1 turn to tighten

I managed to drive with side screens off for the first time for an extended distance .. felt like a completely different car.

Wow! If someone would have told me they were going to combine those colors I wouldn't have believed it could work - but damn, this is one GORGEOUS car! I love it!

I put some leather on the face of the spare wheel retaining Bolt at the weekend it was damaging the paint on the centre of the wheel.
