Better picture with hood cover on.
I am having problems with the mirrors, there is no spring in the stems like the old ones and they are continually getting knocked and need readjusting ,the passenger one is now loose so is no longer able to hold in position .
I have taken them both off and the bolt in the base seems to have lock tight on to prevent them working loose.
I think the adjustment ball is too small for this long stem.

Keep an eye on that hose where it passes over the bulkhead: I looked at my friends Plus Four at the weekend and it was rubbing enough to cause a dent to appear in the hose. A simple fix.

Some great photos Sean.....a truely lovely part of Ireland. I found the road surface on corners on the Ring of Kerry quite a challenge!

another 500 miles these 2 days .. today was delightful, sun, blue skies and sea.

and utterly stunning scenery. NI is stunningly beautiful.

the engine is a masterpiece .. in 3rd from 4000rpm onwards, it screams and hammers away with abandon, and the car flies along. It is very quick, very responsive and really suits the car. 5th is very much a motorway steady cruise gear .. you need to change down to 4th or sometimes 3rd to accelerate with any vigour at all.

on much improved NI roads, the suspension is much more resolved, and I can cover the ground at quite 'alarming' speeds.

steering is much better too on the smoother roads, much less tiring physically and mentally

the car has been a hit here ..

One thing I find very odd is that with the side screens off, the car feels more flighty and floaty .. it makes no sense to me, but it seems quite a different car. Having said that, the feeling mostly goes away after 30 minutes or so.

am now at 2100 miles, and completely run in.

I have changed my mind about the exhaust .. it's OK for me, not too loud as I originally thought. It has a lot of character, it's not just loud, it is different under load, when off throttle

and when under maximum attack towards the red line; this has to be experienced, it's difficult to describe .. it's like a very loud sewing machine with increasing pulsations. wonderful.

the car also hisses and makes sucking air sounds when coming off throttle quickly in 3rd at high revs .. it's completely amazing and fun. Like a turbo waste gate!
