My old girl is at Malvern having the tear in the body work fixed. I asked them if they would fit the pulley bolt kit and have been told that the kit actualy comprises the whole cam plate cams new belt ets. £400 quids worth. They will do it at half price but I have to pay the labour. Anyone else been down this road?

I posted a picture on here about a year ago of the contents of this kit - it did include a new belt , bolt and pulley , but not the cams themselves !

Mine is booked in for this Thursday for a cam belt et-al, urban cooling kit and the chassis brace.
When I booked it in I thought I was just getting the belt and pulleys and retaining my original spaced off cam cover.

It was my car that was being modified in the Mogmag article. The two idler sprockets, cam belt, crankshaft sprocket and bolt are replaced. The cams are not replaced. You don't get the vented front cover either but it is a simple job to cut the two slots in the front and one in the lower edge.

Sounds like I am paying full price for the kit and they are spinning a yarn about it being a big job just to cover all their costs. Not a happy bunny. Sick to death of these sort of games

Matty have you seen the customer service thread , with the opportunity to bring issues to the attention of Steve Morris .

An alternative to MMC for the kit (in the UK) is Matts Machine Shop. S&S p/n 370-0015 @ £72.95, plus a new cam belt at about £85.
