I am looking for a replacement heater control valve fr a 1970's 4/4 Xflow.

Similar to this or an effective replacement would be ideal, Thanks!

I'm still on the look out for a heater control valve.

Bringing this thread back nearer to current viewings, so it doesn't get lost!
Tks.

What year is the car?

My 1972 4/4 doesn't have a heater control valve - just two tappings off the water pump housing and inlet manifold

Later cars have a cable operated valve though. Is that what you are in need of?

Cheers

The car is an April 1975, I have owned it since 1985, so I believe the heater control valve is original.

I doubt it is a Morgan specific part, but cannot find it elsewhere.

The control valve is cable operated, with the cable control knob sitting on the other side of the steering column to the manual choke used for cold starting.

I wonder if a London Taxi heater control valve would do it? A different shape but still with the option of allowing water around the block when the valve is off or on.

Just google it to see, they are between £15 - £20.

My car has a central heating valve with a heath Robinson cable into the car. It works, doesn't leak and cheap to replace. I'll try and get a picture
