I had a fantastic day on Tuesday this week at a Driving School Day at Shelsley Walsh. It was brilliantly well organised and excellent value for money. The instructors were all very knowledgeable and helpful and backed up by friendly volunteer marshals. There was a lovely crowd of Petrolheads as participants, all enjoying chatting about our respective cars. Those cars ranged from an amazing Napier to a VW Caddy van! In between were some lovely sports cars both modern and classic. I thoroughly recommend the day.

My ARP4 caused lots of interest and chat and was one of two interesting Morgans taking part.

I thought you might like to see some photos from the day. Some are by a lovely guy called Geoff Robinson who photographs the day for MAC and sends you the pictures in the evening. The others are by an old mate of mine who is a professional photographer, another Ian Smith. I hope you enjoy the album. (And the odd one from my phone).

Shelsley Walsh Driving School Day - hopefully link corrected

Tried to look at the photos Biffo, but came up with an "Error 404" message!

By the way Brian, the headlights on my ARP4 are Cibies inspired by (i.e.cribbed from) your Plus 8.

The price is £185 Roger. That covers breakfast, 4 runs in the morning (debrief from all instructors after each pair of runs), lunch, 4 runs in the afternoon, debriefs again, tea/cake and prizes. See the Shelsley/Midland Automobile Club website for more details.

Great shots!

The day sounds excellent - I did Prescot many years ago. Roy Lane was the lead instructor.
