been out today in heavy rain, and got quite a bit of water leaking under the dash and dripping on my left leg,
Can anyone give me any ideas where it could be coming in ?

I had exactly the same problem in my last +4 however it was my right leg. The water was coming in via the wiper spindles.
A gentle tweek with a spanner and all was well.
Other places could be the washer jets. Best of luck in finding the problem, if all else fails you could wear shorts

Also the screws holding down the bonnet hinge. Take them out and bath sealant & screw up

I have also had water leaks through the join between the scuttle and the bulkhead, easily fixed with a smear of black silicone sealant.

A few years ago I did some modifications to the fuse wiring, which on a 1986 car are all on top of the bulkhead on the flat surface above the driver's legs. During the course of the mods, I removed one fitting which left a 5 mm hole in the bulkhead. Not having any grommets that small, I just left it.

I forgot about it until one day when I was driving in particularly heavy rain and I got the drip-drip onto my leg. I had a long way to go, so I pulled into a lay-by, got a bit of stick out of a bush, whittled it to a short tapered bung and jammed it into the hole. It worked a treat, and has been there ever since...

I always carry a waterproof and cover my legs.

The rain soon passes and the drips soon dry up.

No idea where they come from!

Water can also come under the screen seal and travel back to the holes for the heated screen cables. I've got my screen off at the moment to replace the seal.....not a job I'd recommend!

People seem to accept leaks as part of the Morgan experience. I don't!
I can accept the slight drop from the hood but in my view leaks from under the dash and heater just should not happen.....they've been building the cars for decades! Morgan needs to bloody well get it sorted!!

Jays, I had a thought, whilst you have you screen off black out you garage window, get a very bright light an put in each footwell shying up under the dash black off from the dash down to the flor and then look from the top of the bulk head head an d see where the light seeps out. Then you may find the leak
