As mentioned earlier on this forum, I'm very happy with MMC who proceeded with sidescreen to windscreen sealing upgrade. I Really think it is an improvement every 4str owner should consider, since my sidescreeens are not being sucked out anymore.
There is something that's been keeping for a while though, as water still comes in from the windscreen/sidescreen/hood contact points : the inner vinyl (or mohair) end just doesn't feel right as it currently sits... If you have a look at attached photo, you can see that it keeps the sidescreen from touching the windscreen mount seal and actually creates a permanent mark on the sealing itself.

Here's my question to you: has anyone retrimmed that bit of vinyl/mohair to have the sidescreen stick to the windscreen mount?

Happy driving and kind regards,
Vladimir

What did they do? Is it just the addition of a rubber seal along the windscreen?

Nop,
They added a U shaped seal to "frame" the sidescreen, hence keeping it into position.

Cheers

I have been tempted to trim the mohair end, but haven't been game enough to do it yet! I would be interested to hear about the difference from anyone who has.

I was told Allon White does the trim... but I couldn't get any feedback yet.

The channel rubber on the windscreen pillar is now standard and can be purchased from dealers for retrofit. It is a very good upgrade

I've just seen a 4 str at Williams the other day and the rubber was apparently not on the package list...

Thanks Will,
That part is actually fine now.
What I mean is the part where windscreen/sidescreen/hood touch, in other words at the top of the pillars.
Cheers
