Apologies if this has been covered already, but if it has I must have had a senior moment and more to the point, the search facility has brought up nothing.....
So are many of you good folks planning on going to Thrill On The Hill this year? I had tickets in 2014 but couldn't make it in the end and passed them to Mark H (who later said it was excellent), so I feel I should make the trip this year. Was about to bag me a ticket, but thought I'd ask you all first!

I will be going this year it is a good day out. I have been twice before and drove the hill last year. There was an incident last year and helmets are now mandatory to drive up the hill.

It's a brilliant day out! I believe this will be the last, for a while anyway, due to MMC's other commitments. I understand helmets will be available to loan for the event.

We are doubtful this year. If the day is free last minute we'll turn up and pay on the gate to watch.
I must admit that the helmet thing is a real turn off for us, but that's not why we're not riding the hill.

Resurrecting this one as the Thrill approaches this weekend. I've not been before, but am planning a sparrow-fart departure from home at about 5:30am, with a view to arriving Shelsey at about 8:30am, car permitting of course!
Two key questions for you all though if I may?
1) I know I need a helmet, but I assume this is not a formal MSA event, so I don't need to bring my HANS-equiped version and things like FIA suit, MSA licence and all that jazz?! Will my normal 'footwell' open-face with visor be OK do you know?
2) Related to above, presumably jeans and long sleeve shirt + jacket will do by way or protective clothing, or do those of you that take to the Hill bring race suits too?
3) There is no 3, but I look forward to meeting those of you who expect to be there too!
