As suggested by Jays you shouldn't read too much into build numbers. My own view based on a couple of factory visits is that they generally are built in sequence but delays with extra's, non-standard paint finishes etc. can put them out. I suspect in Kirk's case there was some re-cycling of a build slot number allocation as well.
Lee who built my car #83884 went on to build #83871 but that was maybe explained by the three layer paint finish spec'd. I saw built up engine/transmission units labelled with build and week number. In this case it was started four weeks later.

All we can do is be patient, and have our dealers contact them once a week. Nothing We can do to speed the process. It will be done faster than i could have built it myself.

If I get chance to put my nose in the M3W shed tomorrow I'll have a look for it.

No sign of 843 or 906 in the build shed although they could be elsewhere. 905 has just been started. Pic of 905 to follow.

Thanks for looking, Dave, that is what I expected. I am going to give them another week before I ask about status again, that will be week 23 when my original was 18.
