Very true about the roof..

There should be no excuse for water leaks. The cars have been in production for long enough! With the AeroSupersports (that is not leaking that much, at least mine, if you pay a lot of attention when you mount it) they solved it brilliantly by making the AeroCoupe.

Love your optimism re the Coupe but it leaks. At one point it did not just leak it actually ran down the dashboard, windscreen and side windows to the point it soaked me and the interior. If you have watched the video of Chris Harris taking the first Aero Plus 8 to Geneva (black one) on youtube it was actually on the same scale as that.
It is mostly fixed now but it still leaks around the doors. Leading edge and windows. It has broken me in and I now accept it owns me and I have learnt to park it appropriately.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

There should be no excuse for water leaks. The cars have been in production for long enough! Well precisely, Jay. The rest of the world knows how to build cars that don't leak, they've been doing it for donkey's years. MMC, however, still builds cars that leak. Clearly it's easily possible to prevent this from happening, it would be trivially easy to buy a couple of old MX5s or whatever so see how it's done, and places like Woolies sell every possible shape and size of rubber seals, so it's not like they can't get the parts. I can't believe that MMC deliberately build their cars to chuck water over the driver every time it rains, therefore the only conclusion I can come to is that MMC don't think it's important enough to do anything about - an attitude which is fine if you're selling cheap basic sports cars to the enthusiast, but when you're selling sumptuous leather trimmed upmarket vehicles and charging upwards of £70k for them, it's a different matter, I feel.

Love your optimism re the Coupe but it leaks. LOL. The AeroCoupe was the solution for the roof leaking, not for all leaks (to avoid that they should have built a tank. Or a Porsche). Ah my beloved wet windscreen... mine was leaking as well, obviously. Now, after Saint Borghi spent a few hours on it, it is fine. (well... I think that with Borghi I suffer from Stockholm syndrome by the way) Windows are ok but yes, still some water on the lower part of the doors but only after a couple of hours with heavy rain on the motorway. Not too much I'd say. Maybe with the Aero8 MKV they made a miracle. Who knows I hope that a good part of the improvements (if any) can be retrofitted. But again, if some wet inside is the price I need to pay to smile anytime I take it for a ride... shut up and take my money!

Mine leaks and for an £85k car it's less than ideal. However I can live with it... I have a storm cover and hope I don't have to take a long run on a motorway in heavy rain.

Coming back to the original question.
My 3.7 roadster has done 26k. I have taken it to the Alps, Vienna, and numerous other European trips. It is the only sports car I own where I do not carry a tool box. I feel confident it will not let me down.
Only issue I have had is the brakes got hot in the Alps and so more engine braking was needed; change the pads to Mintex 1144 and the problem has gone.
I hope my next Morgan will be as good.

Thats good to hear CrunchieG
The Roadster does seem to have a good reputation for reliability.

Tarka only leaks along the bottom of the drivers door when driving in very heavy rain. Same for mine. In summary: You can't have the rainbow without the storm.
