That Morgan badge with direction indicators and the warning lights Bilibib is quite simply superb
I don't think I've ever seen such an artistic, creative and functional Morgan owner addition as that
please keep us updated with the project
Will you have it at MOG16? You've saved me typing! I was going to say just the same! I'm deliberately replying to this thread tonight to push it up the list in active topics so this wonderful creation doesn't get missed Sadly I don't think many have clocked this yet - it deserves its own thread It is a masterpiece of design. To keep it true to the design of the enamelled badges I wonder if the lights drop out?

Thank you Stewart for your positive comments, I must admit I am very pleased with the finished result, it's taken 18 months off and on from concept to completion. Now I must concentrate on the Dashboard to conclude the instrument unit assembly, hopefully it will not take so long to complete, if I can allocate time amongst other aspects of my restoration project, whatever I keep you posted
In answer to your question, unfortunately I will not be attending MOG 16, hopefully next year, when I will bring Florence, and that's not my wife Well Owen I look forward to seeing it perhaps next year - if you get it to MOG 17, you must put it in the 'Pride of Ownership' competition DaveW will love it I can't get over how fantastic I think your light cluster badge is! It's absolutely brilliant

I took the image from a Morgan brochure copied it using 3D modelling software, I was then able to modify it to create the windows for the indicator lens and extruded a body to house the LED's and fixing for the PCB. Then taking the model that I had created the warning light array was 3D printed.

Was the badge then cast from the 3D model or was it formed in metal ?

Innovations is the bright ideas competition, and there are some breathtaking DIY jobs out there. I've tried entering innovations twice and got nowhere..................
Pride of Ownership is where you follow the smell of polish.
