My plus 4 2014 4500miles develops a very noisy squeaking from the rear after driving 10 or so miles but doesn't squeak when cold and straight out of the garage.
It is getting loader and more & more annoying. If I stand on the running board and move the rear suspension up and down it squeaks in both directions.
Any suggestions guys would be appreciated.

+1 Castrol Chain Wax is excellent and it helps to jack up the rear of the car, (to take the load off the springs) before spraying it on.
Also worth just putting a spanner on the shackle bolts to check they are fully tight.

David,
I had the same problem on my previous Morgan and the solution, as others have said, is aerosol grease generously sprayed over, under sidewise down on the springs.

Hi David

I have had a squeak on my left hand side of my backside on my 09 Roadster for three years now, and have taken advice of spraying every product mentioned, but I still have a squeak on my A**e end, it's doing my Morgan head in!!!

My +8 squeaked originally, there were three sources, one was rear springs needing greasing as others have said. The other two were cured by regularly putting Acf50 along the rubber bead between the rear wings and running boards and the body, I did this to protect them, but found it cured a squeak, the other was were the doors meet the body and were rubbing which varied depending on heat and body expansion I suspect, easily cured bu buying small D shape seal from a Morgan dealer and also stops water ingress. Hope this may help you track it down.

I would be cautious what I put on my bushes if I did not know what the compound was, if I had a problem. If the bushes are made from natural rubber or EPDM they could degrade quite quickly in the presence of mineral or synthetic oils. There are loads of incompatibility issues that can degrade or cause the material to swell and then squeak. What is good for your metal bits might not be so good for your rubber bits!

And if it doesn’t say on the tin what is inside I would not use it. Worth getting the correct dedicated rubber lube, IMHO.

My spare wheel coach work flexes causing a squeak. stopped it by a squirt of expanding foam between the crosswood and the inner metal panel.

.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.
