Hi Calum Great photos - as normal, thanks Noticed your new shocks, how are you getting on with them?
Very good indeed so far. Front end now rides bumpy roads even at speed really smoothly, lots of feel for the road, good turn in and steering feel and grip, no clattering off of end stops and no bushes leaping around and fretting on the brackets and bolts. No hitting the exhaust headers either! Perhaps tellingly, the Spax adjustibles on the back that matched the Suplex fronts rather well now feel distinctly like the weakest link in the suspension. Think I will be sorting out matching rear shocks when I get back ashore.
Last night on Quest, an old Fifth Gear, badged as New Fifth Gear, visited the factory and the "young kid" drove an M3w. He loved it. I believe Quest now has a catch up service.

I had always liked the engine turned stainless steel dash board. These are available from Melvyn Rutter near Bishops Stortford, so seemed like a good idea for a little trip from St Albans. Unfortunately, a thunder cloud followed me from Hertford onwards so needed the wet weather gear. At least my co-pilot Max was warm and cozy with the tonneau cover on. Anyway, quick job to fit and the result can be seen below. I like it - it fits well with Hugh's bespoke aluminium cover for the steering column and the Moto Lita steering wheel.
I think Hugh (HJP) made it himself from thin sheet. It is very neat. He also made a couple of side pockets in the foot well and an excellent little parcel shelf visible under the dashboard. A thoroughly well sorted car!
