at an altitude of 2770m, there is snow all year long!

Above 2500m one has to expect fresh snow at any time of the year!

....strange white stuff was flying around us and the temperature was not really very high up the scale!!!.....

Looks like perfectly sensible weather for a day out.
No air conditioning in these three wheelers so you do need to be careful to avoid hyperthermia.
