Spotted a nice light blue mog on A303 heading East near Wincanton this morning at 05:40 had roof up and case on the back not sure if they spotted me in the Roadster waving at them?

That sounds like an early start for a holiday.
We set off at 0500 for West Country holidays to miss the traffic.

That sounds like an early start for a holiday.
We set off at 0500 for West Country holidays to miss the traffic. An early start for any West Country summer holiday is definitely advisable. In fact I recommend starting in November. Cheers
