Sounds good. The leather storage pockets may be too small, others have said they can just fit a glasses case in them. What colour leather as an option have you chosen?
What colour have you chosen for the car? Body coloured mudguards And matching colour for the Tonneau cover?
I am going with Sport Grey for the exterior, and a medium tan/light brown color quilted leather for the interior. (Don't know the name of the color)
I am concerned with the oil from my skin staining the arm rest area along the side of the car that is covered in leather. Has anyone experienced this?
The demo model I drove, which was a 2016 had some staining on the leather in this area, and the car only had 300 miles on it. It was a saddle color interior.
Thanks for the pictures. I like the idea of a glove compartment. But when looking closer at the picture. I think wood & those colours are too much & won't work on my m3w. Grabber blue & red interior
Last time I offered my opinion on these options, I accidentally broke some thin skin and took heat from others who over identified with same. I'll just say that I like the car as it comes, with the additions of 3 eared spinners and the hood strap. Moto Lita offers really nice replacement steering wheels (and some cool head gear) good subs the nasty black go cart tiller that's std.
With regard to the leather...and I do not know this for sure with MMC...but typically, the process of making leather "Waterproof" requires plasticizing it to within an inch of its natural life.....aka making it look, feel, and smell like vinyl. That might prevent some of the color variation your concerned about, but IMHO not a good trade off. Besides, leather looks best when it develops a patina, and I have not seen any examples where the leather passes into truly seedy or badly discolored territory.
Whatever your choices are, the car is utterly fantastic, you will be really pleased!
I spoke to my dealer at the weekend asking the same question. He has yet to see a M3W with 2016 options. Mines been delayed until mid-August build. With the new options I've spec'd I'm expecting it to be delayed further, but I hope not. Hey-ho.
