I'm probably outnumbered here but I really like Chris Evans. I've liked just about every show he's presented over the years although I can't say I've seen or listened to every one
I've watched every new Top Gear so far and will look forward to the next and I had long given up on the last series
The last Old Top Gear I watched was the Argentina special of which the first part was mindnumbingly dull - I was only interested in the controversy and their escape at the end of the second part
This new show has got some life and zip about it and I like Evan's giddy excitable nature

I'm not a Chris Evans fan particularly but at least he's passionate and enthusiastic. The bloke presenting the Festival of Speed programmes manages to sound so monotone and uninterested during a test drive that I nearly dozed off. I know which I'd prefer.

I gave up half way through last night's Goodwood programme and switch to the programme on jet aircraft on BBC4.
Realised it was the one I'd missed when first run, so now I've managed to see half of it...

Presenting in an engaging way is a tough call. Not many can do it and pre Clarkson, May and Hammond, TG is littered with the corpses of dullards. One was called William.

I watched Top Gear on catch up and found it to be possibly the most boring episode so far. Fancy having a legend like Norman Dewis ( whom I have met) and making so little of the opportunity. As for the Goodwood coverage, well having just returned from there, I felt I was watching a totally different event. Far too much time spent with the presenters and too little time with the cars. The Supercar section and the Concours hardly got a look in yet some of the most beautiful and fastest cars in the world were there to be seen. 
Here for a good time not a long time!!
