BLR 5 Three Wheeler
At a recent family gathering it came to light that my late fathers best friend owned a three wheeler in the 1950s.
I was so excited to hear about this and even more curious when someone managed to find the photos of it parked outside our old house.
I just love the single headlamp!
Seems incredible that 60 or so years later I parked my car in the very same spot not knowing that a Morgan with family connections had been in the exact spot some 60 years earlier.
I know very little about classic Morgans so any information on this car would be appreciated.
I have done a search but no such registration exist of the DVLA site so I guess its no more.

Martyn's right. It's a 1930's Super Sports. 990cc Matchless water cooled engine. Bit like my car actually. The bodywork looks quite original, even the luggage rack is correct. Front wings would have had a valance. I think the cover on the ignition is to keep the rain out. There appear to be 3 leads coming up from the it so it would have a distributor rather than double ended coil.
I've had a few details from our club registrar:
There is no mention of BLR 5 in the Club Registry, but there is just one reference in the Club Library – page 18 of the August 1962 Bulletin:
New member – R. Davis. 16, Vernon Court, Vernon Drive, Stanmore.
Hope this helps.

Hi, I checked with the MTWC Registrar. The car is not shown as currently owned by a member, but was shown as being owned by a new member in the MTWC Bulletin in August 1962. The then owner was R. Davis, 16 Vernon Court, Vernon Drive, Stanmore.
