I attended a course last week and we were told this:
You do not need to inform your insurance company that you have attended this course. However if you are asked by an insurance company then you do have to declared it. We were also told that Admiral were the only company applying an additional charge but it was believed they had now stopped after pressure applied from the wider insurance industry.
