He probably wouldn't be any worse than Evans.

True. He might not know when to go but he doesn't appear to have a wheelbarrow to carry his ego around in..

So, resurrecting an old thread with the news that the BBC has signed Matt Leblanc for two more years of Top Gear, with Chris Harris and Rory Reid on the main programme, supported by Sabine Schmitz, Eddie Jordan and, of course, The Stig. This seems like it might be a reasonable compromise. Leblanc is enthusiastic and can drive; Harris is an excellent motoring journalist and can drive like the proverbial excreta/digging-tool interface. Rory Reid, IMO, doesn't have quite the chops of either but held his own on the "extra gear" web specials. I think I'll give it another chance... what is the received wisdom of our assembled company?

I actually quite liked the last series with Chris Evans and will continue to watch with this lineup without Mr Evans I wasn't a huge fan of the old Top Gear and watched it occasionally and I will probably do the same going forward

No, not for me. Too contrived, I'm afraid.

I liked the old Top Gear and I also liked Chris Harris in the New Top Gear ( sounds like an Aldi advert ) so I will give it a chance. I now also have the possibility of watching the new Amazon offer so I will reserve judgement.

I think that these three reprobates should be the new presenters!

They get my vote , perhaps there will now be some characterful cars on the prog with them rather than hum drum stuff !!
