With regard to cars in build you need to speak to your dealer asap. It is my understanding that Morgan invoice the cars at the time of dispatch at the then current list price. It needs to be paid for before it leaves the factory. That is what Mr Rutter told me when i bought new from him 18 months ago. So if the price goes up between order date and deposit being placed and balance payment/delivery then you pay the higher price. Maybe not fair but i think thats how they work it. Other dealers may not stick to this so best to ask the question.
Id be delighted to be proved wrong on this but think its accurate.

That's my thinking but there may be a two week windows for cars in production?

Heresy I know, and I would never go through with it, but couldn't help thinking about the price comparison with a £42k poverty spec Plus Four for this new Merc. A good comparison and a nice car but I doubt it'll be worth £5K in 10 years time !!!! Maybe, but if you keep the dosh in the bank you wont even suffer the depreciation of a Morgan. And you'll live a dreary life. And your kids if not HMRC will pi** the inheritance against the wall when you are gone. Who wants to live life like a profit and loss account?

You could have an Mx5 for every day of the week for £40k. Not new ones though... I couldn't find enough interesting colours to have 7 used ones

Good news! Snappy response from Henry telling me all current orders are being honoured at order price so no need for tears for me!

In relation to technology, quality and reliability all Morgans are totally overpriced. When it comes to smiles per miles they are great value. Depends what you want to pay for...

But agree Howard, I always thought getting old would take longer, so enjoy while you can.

Clearly most of us on here don't as we own at least one Morgan and a couple of other vehicles. Life is for living not saving inheritance money - each generation appreciates the challenge of fending for themselves and achieving their own goals. p.s. To own a Merc and lose money like that I would feel it was me pi88ing it up the wall for a pretty non descript machine in the general scheme of things.
