Buy a battery charger such as a CTEK and keep the car plugged in, will save on the drain.

Agree on battery conditioner. Provided it's most weekends you won't have many things to worry about. I work full time so apart from odd evenings the weekends are usually the only time mine gets used. The important thing is to use it frequently, it will avoid many issues!

I agree 100%!
Regular use is essential to keep the car at its best. With Tarka I can leave it a week to 10 days without connecting the battery conditioner, but more tha 2 weeks and she won't start.
I'm fortunate as during the summer I use the car almost every day, it is insured for Company Business Use and there is a strange pleasure in claiming 45p a mile for enjoying myself.
Also reccomended, if you have an easy up hood, to leave the car with the hood up; this is especially important if the hood is even slightly damp.
A final comment: if the car has been washed and you cleaned the wheels, or if you have been out in the rain, then if you are not careful the pads can stick to the discs as the disc rusts. So make sure the car is properly dry or move the car the next morning to make sure there is no adhesion. I do try not to put the car away wet.

If it is garaged leave the handbrake off as pads can stick as Peter says..

For winter storage I also bought a CTEK charger (2015 +4).
To make life easier I also bought the cigarette lighter plug and extension lead, so the charger sits outside of the car.

All great points and agree with everything
Battery charger plugged into the cigarette lighter makes it quick and easy
Don't leave the handbrake on in the garage - if its prone to rolling - chock it and the first time you do it leave a posting note on the steering wheel to remove chocks !!!!
Don't put the hood folded away damp
If you have to put the car away damp in the winter - a dehumidifier is a good idea
Mine is used mainly at weekends with occasional use midweek if I'm in the office and it's set fair

I agree with all of the above - but if possible use it during the week if only for a few miles - it gives the car an outing and is a great stress-buster - benefits all round.
