Yes that's exactly what I heard too

I would have thought that the pressures for compliance with small manufacturers are going to be less strenuous out of the EU rather than in it..

I understand 4 seater production is safe, although there will be a gap in production until the isofix issue is resolved. Must say, biased as I am in that my first Morgan was a 4 seater, that it would be a very sad day if they were to disappear.
I had lap belts fitted in my 1981 car as rear belts weren't fitted as standard and my two sons didn't come to any harm, although they did catch quite a few flying insects as their heads were above the height of the windscreen. Happy days.

Indeed - We had a 4 seater from 1983 to 1992 when our kids were small.

Hi Steve, sorry i guess you confuse me or i express my self wrongly before the Brexit the UK gouv have power to negotiate with EU to keep small production alive i have read they have the largest quantity for small car factory.

Now with the Brexit the card have change hand, & i can bet thoose stupid of brussels will push for all car get homologated as they think a car should be.

Second point i not with Brexit some small factory will survive

At least again i hope to never see that

I'm not really sure why MMC can't continue making the 4 seater, but without the rear seats and the anchorage points, just carpet it so that all luggage, shopping, coats, dogs etc can be carried in the car. And, whilst they were at it, re-engineer the hood so that it has a far more attractive shape over the rear. Job done,

Common sense should surely prevail. ISOFIX is a great system (and was not allowed in Australia when we moved here) but what is the need in a Morgan? With the ISOFIX base in place the car seat will be well above the windcreen (and the back seat is already high). A better solution would to be exclude kids in car seats from Morgans.

{I know some do it and I don;t have a problem with that - but it is the minority and not the key market).

I was the one who kicked off the Q&A session at AWSC's open day with a question to Steve Morris about the future of the 4-seater. He clearly said production was only "paused", pending the seat issue. He implied something in the region of a 12-month pause, but it will probably be longer.
