It also seems that they have spam filter on the fax ! If you are using the correct number, there is no excuse for that.

You are right. The fax number on the Morgan website doesn't answer from here! But the real problem is that I didn't receive any answer to my Mail and Fax and my car is immobilized since 3 month.

rant mode on They should get their act together at Malvern PR. There is a reason most foreign costumers prefer to mail their questions than to call: the sometimes difficult technical language. It's easier to write those questions down in a mail and to receive them written down. How hard can it be to reply? I find it a bit impolite and unproffesional. rant mode off Cracking cars though.

HI CHRIS........I HAVE CHANGED THE OLD MECHANICALLY DRIVEN PUMP ON MY MK1 AERO AFTER ONLY 8000 MILES..THE MODIFICATION YOU REQUIRE IS SOLD VIA A MAIN DEALER AND IS BASICALLY A MINI ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN HYDRAULIC PUMP WITH ALL THE PIPEWORK AND WIRING YOU REQUIRE TO COMPLETE THE JOB .I WOULD NOT RECOMEND A REPAIR TO THE OLD PUMP SHAFT OR CRANK SHAFT COUPLING AS IT WAS A VERY POOR DESIGN HENCE THE MODIFICATION.. I PURCHASED MY KIT FROM TECHNIQUES ..TEL 01462 835500.. THE FACTORY ALSO HAVE A DVD ON HOW TO CARRY OUT THE JOB ? AND WILL TRY AND CHARGE YOU FIFTY POUNDS FOR THE KNOWLEDGE ON HOW TO REPAIR SOMETHING WHICH SHOULD HAVE NOT FAILED IN THE FIRST PLACE ??? I HAVE A SET OF PRINTED NOTES AND PHOTOS WHICH I CAN E MAIL TO YOU .... IT IS AN EASY BUT TIME CONSUMING JOB IF YOU ARE MECHANICALLY MINDED....BONNET OFF..HEADLIGHTS REMOVED..WINGS OFF..CAWL OFF..OLD PUMP OUT..NEW PUMP IN ..RE PLUMB AND CONNECT LOOM ECT ECT ...GOOD LUCK SIMONG

Just wondering apart from the noise of the electrical pump did you notice any difference at all in the assistance/feel of the steering after replacing old mechanical pump?
Cheers

PHILIPPO..........YES THERE IS A SMALL DIFFERENCE ,AS THE NEW PUMP WORKS ON DEMAND...... ,SO AS YOU PARK OR MAKE SUDDEN STEERING INPUTS THE GREATER THE ASSISTANCE FROM THE PUMP....IF YOU HAVE A MECHANICALLY DRIVEN PUMP IT WILL FAIL SOONER OR LATER ......BUT DONT WORRY YOU WILL STILL LOVE YOUR S1 AERO (YELLOW OF COURSE)...........SIMONG S1 AERO (BLUE IS BEST)

Hi Simon And FYI - on my S1 after the pump was changed I found that there was some noise on full lock (whirring) but it all seemed normal and was assured it was ok.

DEAR MR TONY......FOR YOUR INFORMATION I AM VISUALLY IMPAIRED ,HOWEVER MY OTHER HALF IS AN OPTCIAN AND ADVISED ME TO USE CAPS LOCK WHICH DOES HELP ME TO READ WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN..I THOUGHT I WAS HELPING CHRIS WITH HIS PROBLEM ,I DID NOT EXPECT CRITICISM FOR THE SIZE OF FONT USED WHICH IS SURELY IRRELEVANT ...ALSO FOR YOUR INFORMATION ALMOST ALL POWER STEERING PUMPS MAKE A NOISE ON FULL LOCK AS THE PUMP IS STILL PRODUCING HYDRAULIC PRESSURE WITH NO MOVEMENT LEFT ON THE RACK....KIND REGARDS .... Ooops Knowing Rich (Mr_Tony) reasonably well he will be highly embarrassed at this faux pas. I am sure he meant no offence and just a bit of fun. You may well know that writing in Capitals on forums is akin to shouting and as such this is where he was coming from. He's a nice guy really, The ones you really need to look out for are Aeroman, Simon, Kin, Asbojohn, 1560, DaveW, Frank, Graham, Trent, Young-one etc etc the list is endless
Cheers

So from what you are saying then no difference in the self- centreing feel at normal speeds?
Cheers
