Hehe, I have an Inforad too - rarely use it. Wasn't actually thinking of GATSOs - Nikon F3s are heavy when they slip off your shoulder and head for a wing!  Cheers,

Back to the topic:
isnīt stone chip protection film a factory option these days? I can say that the standard black colour on my car (2009 ink black, non-metallic) is quite tough. I have no noticeable stone chips so far after 4000 miles.
I wouldnīt worry about that issue too much.
