Forgive me for being a "Morgan Owner in Waiting" but why are the footwells so leaky?
When I first had my car the footwells were getting wet. Silicone sealer between the frame & floor has almost eliminated it & that was only under the seat & immediately in front of the seats not all the way to the front. I dont think much water gets in from above but I do drive with the half tonneau on most of the time. You do get plenty of dust but sealing behind the seats helps a lot. I think the cockpit is a low pressure area so you are unlikely to stop all dust.
Great thread this! For what it's worth, I think Draggin' has a fair point. If I was in his position, waiting with baited breath for something he has dreamed about for months, and invested a lot of his hard earned cash in, I would want to cover off all the possible problems which could mar his future ownership pleasure. One day I will order my final Morgan. At present it is going to be a three wheeler, possibly an electric one, but I'll take a look at the one at TOTH this Saturday to help the decision process. However, I do not expect it to be perfect. I expect it to give me problems, to be quirky, to be expensive to buy and to run, but in a world of blandness and standardisation, I know it will make me tremble with pleasure every time I look at it, and shiver with anticipation every time I start it up. I just wish I had not had a 40 year gap between my first 4/4 and the Roadster and Aero. Wasted years! Keep the faith, Draggin'.
