A recent mystery (maybe spoke related, or inner tube quality issue) puncture got me up close with the wheel change process recently, and got me thinking more about nice alternatives to olde worlde wire wheels (a must-have for some, but not strictly necessary even for a 1930's reproduction or style vehicle like the M3W IMHO)... Although normal car makers boost profits with alternative wheel offerings, Morgan Car Co has yet to take notice of this "modern trend". 1. M3W EV startup (Selfridges) edition has solid (steel?) wheels...  But... I spoke to MMC this afternoon, the solid wheels are only available on the Selfridge edition.
No amount of persuasion will make them budge.
What a shame! 2. I like the Bugatti T35 wheels too...  But emailed the replica builder and they're not selling any off the car anyway. Nice replica though and an interesting alternative to an M3W for the same money! T35 for 30K

PaulV, is there a solution to the problem?
I would definitely be interested in a pair of suutable period wheels for the M3W.

I have spoken with MWS and Hagon superspoke and they can't help.
You will need to speak to the manufacturer of the wells. MMC when i spoke to them yesterday, said the wheels are the same weight as the steel ones.
They who mould not tell me who made them.

I haven't seen anyone running a completely different wheel setup using a wide car type wheels? 18" or 19" x 8"-10" wide

it can also be just 2 disc fixed on the wire wheel, have to see it in real for know exactly, for 19 cars the tooling for the wheel will be quite crazy ...

I think they could be spun aluminium discs either side of the wires.

I quite agree with toolng costs. This however is a solid wheel.
Apparently the design of the EV3 was done inconjuntion with Selfrdges. The tooling costs are in with cost of the car.
Krazy horse in Bury st. Edmunds are planing to use moon discs on my car.
Maybe they will help.

Wheels are such an important part of the look of a car, it's a visual focal point.
I like the option of wheel styles, although I personally prefer the classic look of wires with 3 eared knockers. Choice not only gives the buyer another way to spend money, but it also leaves room for an easy change later on (read: Future part sale).
Lately MMC has figured out that choice is a good thing..I might not agree with some of those choices from an esthetic perspective, but from a marketing and profitability perspective, choice is an undeniably inexpensive way to add to the bottom line...you'd think wheels across the model line would be an easy one, right?
