I used some bobbins from Harley Davidson on my rectifier that were made to be oil tank bobbins and they are going on two years old with no signs of ware. My rectifier is in the original location still, attached at the engine mount. I can dig out the HD part number if you are interested.

Thanks Mi3Wheeler, I have extra bobbins, but it wouldn't hurt to get the number! My first set actually got too hot from the exhaust (at least that is what I suspect) they were hard and brittle like they had been overheated.
