If one were to spec a bonnet strap on a new 3w along with interior contrast stitching, would that contrast stitching find its way on to the bonnet strap too?

I would say no, unless you were very clear about wanting it there too. And maybe not even then...

As above, no it wouldn't - unless you specify. Even then, I'm not sure there's an option for that is there?

Your answers are reassuring, as I don't think I would want the contrast stictching on the strap (or boot latches). Although I believe a have seen pictures of one with the contrast only on the strap.

Next question, I haven't seen any 2016 example with the bonnet louvers specked with the strap. Where do you think the strap end up? In the middle of the bonnet, just behind the forward latch?

The bonnet strap comes just with the standard stitching.

Looking at the width of the factory fitted strap on my car, it wouldn't fit anywhere else. (but behind the forward catch) May look a bit paranoid and busy though. If you are set on the strap and the louvres, why not go for the aircraft inspired Dzues fasteners fitted as standard. I know they are fiddly but they don't have the whiff of Halfords about them.

Does anyone have or seen or know of anybody that has a bonnet strap of this pattern?

I love the strap, it heightens the "Classic" look. The louvres would distract, IMHO..and Dzues with the strap is like wearing a belt AND suspenders... we know the strap itself is purely cosmetic, but onlookers don't.
