Hello! & hmm... Williams had a Supersports for sale last month @ £99k - it was on their stand @ all morgans day at Blenheim. It's not now on their website - so I guess it's sold, and sold quite quickly too. Might be worth a phone call though to find out where it went. It was still there last Thursday. Rather lovely car!

Many thanks. Was the car blue by any chance? Is an Aeromax worth £20k more than a Aero Supersports (assuming same age, mileage & condition). Is one more desireable than the other?

L33, whilst I alas do not posses the means to purchase either variant, I am not sure it is a financial based choice you should be contemplating. I realise that the sums involved are large and that due care is needed in any purchase, but the value of one over the other is not something that can be rationalised as your criteria will differ from all others. Collectively if prices are higher for a max, then that kind of answers your question....yes they are worth more. If the real question is will you aprechiate the extra £20k, then only your decision criteria can judge.
Drive both and decide on which you really want/desire more?
Today I learnt that a 205 Gti sold for £31k...........to make my point, I see that as stupid, but someone somewhere sees it very differently.
Ps, I think there is a French registered LHD aeromax for sale, black with gold roof, being sold in Holland by "Big boys toys" 0031332537766...price on application, 1700km on a 2010 plate.

Both are extremely rare, you're not likely to park next to one the same at your local Waitrose. Personally, I'd have the Supersports and trouser the spare £30k.

How much would you suffer having a roof over your head all the time? For me was enough to tell the 911 coupe that I had before the AeroSS and that I loved. For the same reason a Max or an AeroCoupe for me would be a no-go, regardless the price.

Hi Lee, Berrybrook have a left hand drive SuperSport they are selling, presumably on a SOR basis, as it seems it is based in Dubai. Price quoted is £94,995 but it's not clear if that is landed UK or a Dubai price? Regarding which is better out of the SS and the AeroMax, we did have both but sold the AeroMax as the SS was the more practical car. However, I think that the AeroMax is the iconic shape that will increase in value over time, even though the SS was the more expensive car when new. The Coupe was cheaper than the SS by some £25K and also solved the problem with the SS's leaking Targa-style roof.

In terms of long term value I'm sticking with the order of Max, SS, Coupe.
The Max has the shape The SS the targa roof - which creaks like hell when on The Coupe is going to the most practical/creakless model.
Horses for courses - but remember they are all high value/low liquidity assets.

Thanks for all your comments chaps. I just don't mind paying the market value for either - I just don't want to pay over the odds. I'm not bothered about the investment potential, just don't the asset to go down in value too much. Money's useless in the bank at the moment - I'd rather drive it.
