now that the salt is on the roads, who is tucking their Mog up in its pyjamas for the winter and who is out and about?

-I was going to stay off the road this winter but I went out last monday night to an evening class and when I came to drive home several tons of winter grit had been sown on my route home by the council shocked2

So, change of plan, will avoid really icy roads but otherwise will use Mog as and when smile

I had the morning off work on Friday because it looked like being my last chance before Christmas Eve to get on the road. It was a great morning out, and the road was quite dry. My new approach is to use it whenever I can, but that's governed more by family commitments than the weather. Last year I went out on Christmas Eve with MissW, and I hope to repeat the outing this year although MissW has now left home, so it will be me plus 'winter buddy half toneau cover' - not quite the same thing.

I think we should use them while we can........... woohoo

The roads were dry by 3pm today, I immediately donned flying jacket, hood down, fired her up and launched. Only frightend a few locals, 15 miles of smiles then back home to cool down. I think the mechanicals appreciate a run out at least twice a week and I didn't buy it just to look at.

Like you, I went for a quick trip around the lanes this afternoon. Lovely day for it.

Forecast for the Thursday and Friday look sunny so might use A11OGE to go to work.

Plenty of rain in Luxembourg gloomy so I did about 30 km with the top up blush yesterday.
I keep mine on the road twelve month a year, but avoid salty roads.

Sunny greetings,
Ivo

I try and limit my use to one trip per week.

This week I went to Loughton Essex
Last week I went to Newport

From Winchester.

Seems only fair to make it a good trip !

Mine will be used; however, the moment the councils start salting the roads, I'll keep it off them until our winter weather (read rain gloomy wink ) has washed the salt off.

Rain doesn't worry me, salt stuck to the underside is less appealing.

Definitely use for me! I'm going to try and not use it when it's pouring with rain though - if it's heavy rain, the roof leaks and I think we're getting water up through the bottom of the doors when we go through large puddles. My OH drove it in the severe rainstorm a few weeks back and it (apparently) drove surprisingly well.

My other car broke last week so I don't have much choice other than to use the Morgan at the moment though frown

Great sunny weather????
I had heavy showers, light showers, overcast and mini floods to contend with all the way from Greenfield back to Cheltenham...
