I knew I wanted a Morgan, test-drove one at the works -4/4 sport. Got out and wrote out a cheque for the deposit. Never regretted it.

Sat in one to make sure it fitted, got driven round the block in it by Russel Paterson, half an hour later had specced my order - someone else's build slot who had pulled out and a couple of months later it was mine.

I bought mine without a test drive. I had other Morgans and i wanted a 3W since the day i saw it for the first time. Actually i bought mine by email. I wrote to Melvyn asking if there was a used one for me and he wrote me back... I love my 3W

Ordered and deposit placed on mine in Feb of 2012 having never seen one in person, months before my dealership got their demonstrator. Test drove their demonstrator in August of 2012, mine arrived the following March.

Ordered it in feb of 2012, 1 year & a month wait, but the dealer got one in august & yet you had to wait 7 more monthes! Why that long.? You should been a priority as you would have been driving it around & it would be more in the publics eye than at the dealers

Bought mine through the dealer having first seen it on eBay but not clicked - it came back on eBay 3 months later through the same dealer so I bought it and had it low-loaded home where I then drove it.

I sat in one at Williams - I don't fit - glad I had a sit in one, whereas I fit in my Roadster (Just), I guess the M3W could be bespokely tailored to fit me but as standard I couldn't test drive one.
I want to see if the EV3 has any more room over the Petrol one as yup I am a little mad and really fancy one! Do you know what position the pedal box was in? I am 6ft 5 and I can drive one (just) with the pedals in the medium position (there are 3), there is further adjustment still which delighted me as I will own one sometime in the future! Regards, Nick I was told they were at full forward but the footwell could be altered, then the pedals could be mounted further forward, I am only 6'3" so was a bit perplexed as my legs are not especially long, I kept knocking the steering wheel with my thigh on operating the clutch pedal, that was 2014 not sure what year their demonstrator was? have they made any changes to the legroom since? and as the boss lady had already told me "don't you dare!" I didn't push it further!

Sure, I can ride a 3 year olds tricycle, but only for a few feet, not well, and not happily.

Loved it as soon as I read the drive in Road and Track, confirmed that on YouTube, and clinched it on test drive. It's like sex, most knew they'd like it the first time, too...and the feelings don't change with time, either.
However, you ask a lot of logic based questions, like maintenance costs, which suggest you're not quite there yet, so buying one without a test drive is like having to pay for it with a stranger for that first time...there's the real risk whenever you contaminate a purely emotional experience with things that are not emotional..in this case, logic...that you'll be disappointed. Some things are just purely emotional. Go find one to drive, what others have done isn't a justification for you....you'll feel better...the wait is a long time to go with ambivalence or uncertainty.
And I'm a full 6'1"/175lbs, and the tester had the pedals in the furthest forward position, making it a real reach. I'd suspect that anyone in the 6'2"- 6'5" range would fit...the exception being those with big butts or guts, otherwise I'd suspect that the dealer was incorrect in stating the box was at it's furthest setting.

And shoe size matters. Usually ( Donald Trump being the exception) taller people have larger hands and feet. Seems a size 10 is about maximum for the M3W. My dealer has one for sale now because the buyer found himself to be too large. I tell people that 5'8"- 6'1" seems to be the range as long as shoes aren't above 9.5-10.
