What a great deal not to fly anymore. I hate airports with or without drinks.

Drinking at the poolside! That's life quality.

I lost my Senator too - the main benefit left on it for me was the chance to get half price flight tickets when booking with points - I had used most of them up ahead of our honeymoon - but that was cancelled due to emergency surgery.

Tried melatonin, nut never convinced it did anything.....
But Kalms do a night formulation which seems to help a bit.
If I get 3 to 4 hours sleep I'm happy....

All my flights over the next 2 months are in Europe, including Sofia, Bulgaria: a first for me and that just leaves 1 European Country to visit...if we exclude Greenland!

This is from a SAS flight in 1969 not my photo.

Although I only had good experiences on business flights the majority of them took place when you wore a suit and Sleezyjet and Bryanair were not even in the gestation period.
There were standards and they were right, low cost airlines are about as attractive as a British train journey to me.

It reminds me of the wonderful Smorgasbord served on the Harwich to Esbjerg DFDS ferry in the 1980's.

Drink is a strange thing. I just couldn't drink alcohol that early in the morning....I seem to have a built in body clock that says I can drink from 11:00am onwards but no earlier!

Why that is....perhaps social mores....I don't know.

Jays, if your body refuses alcohol early in the morning you should tell him it is a very very extended evening which still lasts after sunrise.
When we were young we often had this late night events which did not stop till late morning.

Where there is a will there is a way! laugh2

a nice and time reflecting pic. It shows so many details which have changed during almost 50 years of flight (and society) culture. Today due to very sad developments even the captain was not allowed to bring such a knife on board. In 1969 it symbolized best fresh custom food and culinaric handcrafts.
