thanks, I'm just going to stop obsessing, ignore the wifely rants, and forget it for a few weeks.

They don't sell more because they can't. The capacity isn't there. They sell all they can produce and more business just means slower output at this time. Ramping up ( not even desired by MMC is my understanding) would take more employment and more factory space. The complaint Kirk has, and I had, is mostly about communications. A company with one employee or hundreds is able to communicate. Some just don't do it well (Morgan). If I were advising MMC, I'd tell them to be generous with time predictions, and make customers happy by meeting or beating these self stated deadlines.

Kirk I can totally understand your anger, frustration and more. Surely your dealer should be jumping on Morgan every day for answers. It's totally unacceptable to leave you in the dark. It's fine to say it'll come when it's ready, but why isn't it ready? Week 19 was a long long time ago and I can't believe they haven't built and delivered any cars since.

Oh...they've delivered cars since then. Kirk ordered many new gizmos from the heritage edition and MMC simply doesn't have the goodies sitting there ready for installation.

Well so have I. So I have more than a passing interest in what's going on. And mine is supposedly being started in a weeks time. At least that's what I was told earlier this week.

If you ordered a fairly base car, you might be fine.

Ken has it correct, it is not that I am waiting, it is more the fact they keep making and breaking deadlines in between periods of total silence. It is not like they did not know what I ordered, and did not have time to insure that the parts would be there in time to build my car. It is more like they did not even order my parts until they were at the point in the build where they needed the parts to continue. That is not how "just-in-time "manufacturing works!
I do customer service for a living, so maybe why I find it so appalling!

Customer service... Apple is a "10". Comcast is a "1". MMC? I'm giving them a 3.

I ordered the base vehicle. I was originally told I'd have it end of July, now they are saying mid september. They're behind at least a month and a half for a base model.
