You guys forgot the oil cap gasket. Its a must. I got a spare oil cap gasket. Dealer price, $49 USD. Anyone know a better source?

Ok... Clue me in on the oil cap gasket. I have 3,600 miles on my five month old car. I need one why?

It swells, falls to bits and the bits fall inside the oil tank.

Exactly..i only have 3000kms & when I removed the cap & pushed down on the gasket it broken into tiny bits..if that had happened inside the oil tank it can close the oil hose to the engine..i got a thick heavy duty rubber cut to fit inside the cap & all is well now.
