I too think driving on superhighway is not the best or the safest in my M3W. I do have a large Ford Van to bring the wife, luggage and trailer with our getaway machine with us. We wanted to bring our M3W, The Carrot, to Amelia Island for a long car show weekend which is about 200 mile run from my house so we filled up the Ford van and trailered the M3W up. Once there out pops The Carrot and we have the coolest mode of transportation there! Very enjoyable since we had a comfortable ride up and all our stuff with us.
Next trip is down to Key West, The Conch Republic 🌴😊

Thinking real hard about this meet!
Trailering, for me, is the only way. I've been carted home on a flat bed three times now. This is the first year I've had it where I don't start a nice ride wondering what's going to break this time!
But still.
With my Tundra and an enclosed shell I can haul tools and spares galore. If I bring them, I'll never have to use them. If I leave them it guarantees their necessity!
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Hmmmmmm....3,500 miles so far and no failures. Always brings me home. Guess the new ones are kind of ironed out.

800 miles of back roads? Sounds like an adventure! Quick check of Google Maps shows that would turn a 12 1/2 hour trip into 17 1/2 hour trip. Not as bad as I thought ...

We've driven to The Dragon and back (North Carolina) 3 times, along with one of our cars. After each time we talk about maybe getting a trailer. I have a fabricator friend who says he could put a hitch on my CTS-V wagon.

Anyone in the upper midwest interested in forming a caravan? This has pros and cons, but thought I would throw it out there for responses.

Northeast attendees can stop here to crash and have a Baltimore crab cake on me. I'm five minutes off if I-95, which is probably your slab route to GA
