My wife (gawd bless her) suffers from back pain; the ride in my 1989 +4 2 seater is very hard; I love it as it corners on rails (as should be) but the old story of telling the difference between fag ends being filter tipped or plain when driven over is very true. My previous 1961 +4 had sprung upholstered bench seat back rest and float on air cushions on plywood base. I never had problems with this set up.
I am tempted to investigate new bucket seats with more upholstery/strings. Before I do, any suggestions from fellow morgan'ers/suffers would be greatly appreciated. (and no - I don't want to change wife or car!!)

I would thoroughly recommend a decent set of seats from Allon White. They made a great set of reclining seats with Memory Foam, heated swab and back and lumbar support. Transformed the 'enjoyment' of the car (and the practicality to get stuff in the back with reclining). Not cheap but the best investment I made to the car. We have done two major road trips in Europe (approx 2000 miles each) and would not have been possible without the seats.
No connection etc. just a very satisfied customer.

+1 I had an Allon white seat base in my last car, much more comfortable. The factory foam is rubbish!!

Have to say that my 2016 build 4/4 seats are by now flattening & the limitations are showing through. I'm following this thread with much interest..!!

Local Morgan +8 friend (Portland, Oregon) has Alon White seats and loves them. If I had a problem I would go for Alon White regardless of cost. Good seats are paramount.

I had a look at the Allon White site, impressing work, and I still have a question (if it is of public interest, otherwise I can call them next week) Can I keep my 2014 factory seats with the exception that Allon White could put a new foam base (or whatsever he uses) into them...reg the seat and probably also for the backrest?

Surely the seat Base is sprung under the cushion foam?

Comfortable seats are important and I have to say that the seats in our 2012 model are more comfortable than any other car we have owned in recent years, including the new VW Polo.
Depending on your budget you may like to have a chat with Peter Ballard (PJB on TM) about his Suplex suspension systems. Your wife will thank you. I am sure he or perhaps someone nearer to you would be happy to take you for a run in a Suplex equiped car.

Softer seats would help , as would checking out the front and rear suspension. There are lots of tweaks for that. But a really cheap fix that worked for me , was to lower the tire pressures ! I was running 24 psi and dropping them to 20 psi made a big difference.. Terry
