Went to recover a few bits & bobs from the Morgan today. Spoke to the garage beforehand, and was told "It looks a lot worse than it actually is!"
Eight days after the event, I could look at the damage and see that the areas that took the brunt of the damage (wings and bonnet) are not necessarily major structural components. Looking at the exhaust under the Near-Side Wing (which took most damage) there's hardly a mark on it.
Sure, the too-ing and fro-ing with the insurance company has yet to start, so we can only wait and see......

Those parts crumpled well and as you say, aren't structural. I'm sure if you are with one of the usual Morgan type insurance companies you should be fine. Hope you're back on the road in the not too distant future.

Rob, even the car is write of by insurance it can be repair, but that's only depend on how you love her, my humble opinion will be sell it like that and go to an other one, for several years i have been involve in car damaged i know the advantage and disadvantage and the balance go on the wrong side in my opinion. Someone will surely be happy to repair it and drive it and will accept what can call the side effect.
