The Morgan arrived yesterday. Large pickup truck towing an enclosed trailer.

Driver backed the M3W out to the enjoyment of neighbors who came to see what crazy thing I'm up to now. (Driver was squinting into the sun; actually a nice guy.)

The M3W in its new waters.

After the mandatory ride for a few neighbors, got the first ride by myself to start to get a better feel for the M3W.

Those exhausts are Loud. Louder than I'd prefer, but ear plugs and thoughtful throttle usage helps. My island has a quite a number of tight turns. I was surprised at how heavy the steering was under way. Didn't feel that in California as the roads were straight or with gentle curves. It's as if the M3W will turn--but like a petulant child, says, "Only if you make me." Empire kit starts to make more sense.

Biggest test was taking my wife and dog for a ride last night. Overall, it passed. Not a requirement, but makes life easier. (She has a horse, which we don't ride together...not a requirement that we ride the Morgan together...but it helps.)

Looking forward to more time at the wheel.

James

Enjoy your M3W!
It was my entry to the Morgan world too.

Spent some quality time in the garage with the M3W. Regardless of how new a car is, working on a used car is always something of an archeological dig...finding how others have treated it. Previous owner clearly got frustrated with the bonnet fasteners and got rough with them.

Found surface rust in a few areas. Cleaned it up and treated with Corrosion X.

Found that all the tire pressures were low. The previous day's silky ride and recalcitrant cornering made more sense. After correcting the pressures, the M3W was better in the corners. Not the same as an Empire Kit, but for now, will try adding a pound or two to the front tires to increase oversteer a little.

1-2 pounds won't be enough to alter tire wear or safety, but might enhance the cornering a bit.

Welcome to the forum and your first Morgan! I've driven quite a number of the factory three wheelers.......I need little excuse.....and whilst the steering is quite "meaty" I just love its feel. I certainly wouldn't mess around with the front suspension unless it was one of the early cars.

Enjoy....it's a lovely part of the world for driving a Morgan.

Some of the roads around the edge of the island where I live. Made this for a few relatives who wanted to see a bit more of the M3W. Engine & exhaust are muffled. It's ok, but some of the nuances are lost. Will make another with more accurate sound.

Great Run. Done the "Round The Island Route" many times. But in a Trike it must be "Added Fun".
