Far better for the usage, and although I loved the plus four I owned for two years prior, it was the burble or lack of it, not the cost of petrol that lured me back to a V8.
Having had four plus 8's never considered the cost of running, and when I did and disposed of my last one, it only made me realise that life is just too short to worry.
Skiing like mad now.

Your +8 was at Allon White having finishing touches put to it by Phil on the day I took my car in for its second annual service. At 2 years old, my car then had 8039 miles on the clock.

Great looking car - keep up the skiing.

I have done 120,000 in Aero's since getting my Series 3. The average per year in that time is low as the S4 was off the road for quite some time when it was rebuilt on a new chassis but went over 80,000 during 3 driving years!

I have had the GTN for exactly 1 year and have been very lax in getting it out as much as I should (put 25,000 miles or so on the Tesla since getting the GTN)but have clocked up just over 3,000 in it.

Got the car new on 2nd March 2015 & the mileage is now at 8700 so that is in almost 17 months. Apart from a trip to southern Ireland in June of about 1200 miles it just seems to get used a lot, even though we have 2 other cars.

We usually average 3k miles a year, it should be more but the constraints of both our fathers being into their 90's means neither the +8 or the 3W don't get used as they should.

Some of these replies are along the " I bought the car last year and have done x miles in y months" which is fine but not always representative IMO. Novelty value comes into it with a new car. I did something like 15000 in the Lotus in the time that I had it, but the first year was 4000 and towards the end it had one year sorned through lack of use with the last 12 months being just 750 miles.

Useability is a key factor - I cant imagine a Trad being any more fun on the motorway or in heavy traffic than the Lotus was, and even less use at carrying luggage. So for most of us mileage depends on the attractions of "just going out for a drive". That has to be greater with a Trad - fun at sensible speeds. The problem with the Lotus was that it was an extremely capable track day type car so fun = serious speed. Slow looking at the view = boring. So I used to get back at times thinking " you fool , that was stupid"

I took delivery of my M3W at the end of November 2013 and am on 10,350 with a trip to Switzerland coming up next week.

The mileage per annum is:

Year 1: 2,870
Year 2: 4,690
Year 3: 2,790 and counting.

All being well I should end up with over 4k miles this year drive

In terms of usability, my previous "supercar" racked up 3,500 miles over 2 years. It was really good fun but I was a lot more circumspect about when I used it than I am in the Mog.
