We were lucky on the way back from the MOG. Despite threatening clouds in the west we got as far as Derby in the dry. As we left the filling station it started to rain so I looped back under the canopy and put the hood up. As it turned out it wasn't much but we've been soaked a couple of times in the past.

My responses would neutralise.

On the 4 seater, I prefer side screens on, for less turbulence, (and I also like the appearance on a 4 str)
On the 2 str, i prefer side screens off , seems to be less turbulence, feels and sounds better than on, (and I prefer the "off" lines on 2 str)

I should also have mentioned that when it reaches 30°C plus in the shade and you have several hours driving to do under a broiling sun not only do the side screens go on but the hood goes up and the aircon gets turned on.

I know this situation doesn't occur in the UK but if you think to tour the southern European zones in July you will bless the day you ordered aircon as an option.

Quite right, you should brave the sun like a man.

Hear hear; what is aircon? I Have the side screens almost always on.
The only time I have taken them off is to allow passengers to gain the full experience; buffeting wind, the road alarmingly close to you and the full sporty retro look.
So, it's side screens up, but hood firmly down.

The sidescreen construction is one aspect of the long door cars which I believe is a major step forward compared to the old design, especially with the new design of retaining rubber. Much more civilised.

Well I have voted and I dont have a Morgan. It was the only way I could see the result.

So deduct 1 from the no sidescreens total.

We were discussing these on the way up the new motorway they are building (M1).

Might be an age thing, but using the screens more than I used to, especially on longer journeys and starting to get grumpy and irritated by the way, they rattle and splay outwards and constantly need tightening up.

Does anyone use a clamp to solve this problem?

Cant be an age thing Clipper as I've only really used mine with the side screens so far really wink
Passengers were much happier with them on aswell.
