My first sprocket lasted 2,335 miles by which time it was screeching so loud it drowned out the engine.

Factory steel sprocket now done about 4,300 miles and no problems smile

I'd definitely advise changing to steel or SuperMax as soon as you can.

A new steel sprocket @ 2300 miles for me didn't help with the screaming noises - guess my Bevel box was the cause - it got louder as it got hotter. The only cure i found was a pair of decent motorcyclists ear plugs ( as recommended in the handbook!) but that took away a lot of the lovely exhaust noise too, so not so good.

I had my original 2013 sprocket replaced with steel one at 6500 miles. Only occasionally did I get belt noise but I did get loads of dust on seat edges & transmission tunnel. I believe Red Three did a lot more than that on the original.

Does it scoop up/collect more road trash than normal, or drag/hit bottom when going over items? Thanks.
