just an little update on the folding screen

I did the test fit and it went really well as you saw in the earlier photos

The reason it was a test fit was that I knew I had to make some adjustments to the folding screen brackets as I have the easy up hood from 2000 which requires a tall side bar and retaining slot to fix the hood top rail

So today I had my metal basher's (they have the equipment for a straight and perfect cut) to cut the top of the original bar and the top off the folding screen bar so I can merge the two together

here it is after the cut was done

you can see to align the holes perfectly I bolted the two together

I'll fit it tonight and update with a photo

I'm going to do the other side tomorrow

The tape was just to protect the polished steel

Just a little update

Yesterday I fitted the two part windscreen side supports

The cutting blade was 2.5mm but I seem to have got a 3 mm gap but I polished off the edges with my Work Smart Knife sharpener

The old side supports were in a brushed finish and the new are highly polished which doesn't quite marry up but I don't think it looks too bad

Also

The wiper bezel covers from John at Heart of England Morgans came the other day so I had a 'play'

I took one wiper off and fitted one to have a look - rather groovy

Do you have permission to mess about with your car on a Bank Holiday weekend Stewart?

Sorry if that invites an insignificant #5000 post........ innocent

Suggest you hold your fire, if that's possible.
