A friend, also called Howard, who is a Private Investigator and certified Bailif installed the system that you can buy from Costco as he had a problem with his nowty neighbour.

He installed it himself, said it was very good on features and was good value. It came in very handy as he recorded the neighbour causing some offence on his driveway and damagin his property and it was suitable for the police to take action.

How about that? Question answered and no thread drift! grin2

We're looking for a good infra red system to identify whoever is breaking holes through our willow hurdle fences at ground level. We suspect either badger or muntjac deer, both of whom have been spotted loitering in the garden previously!

I borrowed one of these from a friend and the quality is stunning with colour in daylight and monochrome at night and it resolved my query.

Aldi have wildlife cameras on offer next week - or sunday - they switch on at movement , record for a set time then switch off. Derbyshire wildlife trust use them for monitoring badgers & they are very good £69 I think - on their website at present. Also they recently had CCTV systems in - may have some left.As always very good value and a 3 year warranty.

Thanks. I've never been into an Aldi but I will be very soon!

Howard, I have an internet connected system, which sends emails of 'events', it logs them on my computer and on the SD card in the camera itself. It must be connected to a working broadband router.
I can also logon to an app as have a live view when I am away from home.
At first I tended to review the footage and noticed some characters coming up the drive, clocking the CCTV camera and going. Life is too short for that.
We people come to the door they also clock the camera. I would say it can act as a deterrent.

I recently bought a Swann 6 camera system from Costco for my office, looked the dogs do das, records movement on a huge hard disk and you access cameras on your pc and mobile phone. Opened it up and the cameras have to be hard wired to the box! Can't be doing with that, I thought the camera would Bluetooth to system so going back for a refund or exchange.
SWMBO recently bought a Motorola Hubble camera from Costco recently to keep an a eye on her pussy. 50 odd quid, the size of a tennis ball, records, alerts on movement and watchable on phone or pc. Recommended and just the job for Fox Terrier.
