A smart installation Dab but no good for a post 2014 chassis as the central alloy panel is not fitted and there is a great big steel beam in the shape of the NVH kit in place under the prop shaft. Something similar on a later chassis gets tight on space. I would guess the cooling airflow is greater without the alloy panel in place, maybe why they deleted it, or it could be just to save a bit of money?

I recently found you don't need much wear on an alloy drive pulley for it to moan, groan and whine. As with a Harley, it often gets louder as it reaches operating temperature and gets tighter. I wish I had changed mine earlier as it has transformed the car ( and my bank account). Of course, If your bevel box is noisy it may make a less marked improvement. The irony is, the bevel box noise decreases at 1000mls+ which is the point when the pulley noises start to ramp up. It goes from Nicola Sturgeon low whine to the full irritating Hillary Clinton growl in a few thousand miles.

Just back home from a 500 km trip in hot weather ( around 30 degree ) and this f*cking bevel box noise makes of us crazy ( on both cars )
In my wife's car we tried now Millers 140 oil. The leaking has almost stopped but the screaming noise is still the same.

I am hoping that theres a supplier who will come along with either replacements, or refurbished units. I am finding that I am using the M3W less, due to the noise now, which is a shame.

Laurens you must be made of stronger stuff than me. I was only 80km away & 26C & the noise got to me so went back home early.

Well I suppose it had to happen. For some time now I’ve been bragging to anyone who would listen that my BB is quiet. It’s now done just over 5000 miles and it is definitely getting noisier. It’s not a screamer yet but I’m aware of the whine for sure. The only solution I’ve found is to drive at over 65mph - at which point the world rushing past drowns out said whine. Roll on a permanent solution…
