now I'm 'Charter Member' I'm allowed to do anything, especially on a Bank Holiday!

Actually I made sure I did my fiddling after having a super drive out with Rach in the Morgan yesterday - a meandering trip to Southport and back

It was super as it was the first time I had my youngest son in the back seat after his hip reconstruction surgery earlier this year

He loved it and so did I

Yes I've been looking at those but they won't have the special top bit which I need for slotting in my hood top rail

I'm out again in the Morgan today - meeting friends for lunch over in Yorkshire, so when I get back I might have a play and try polishing up the brushed top bits with the Dremel

I did this... albeit with a bench version. If you're using a Dremel I would put it in the vice and hold the piece....

Thanks Richard

Agree on the vice - I might try the Work Smart sharpener on it first with a medium grit to get the brushed effects off first and then go on the polishing belt

I'm going to have a practice on the old uprights first to see what works

Doesn't help that the folding brackets are mirror finish

i will not feel so safe driving with this two blade arrow front of each .... i am not sure a solution without this can be done , but for sure if it's car i will not fold my screen so often.

BTW nice job and fitting

Just an update on my work tonight

No aero screen fitted yet, before you ask - Sunday didn't quite go to plan, in a nice way - friends called unexpectedly so the day changed

Anyway

I was never too happy with this result in that I didn't feel the screen was adequately strengthened with the side bar now split, plus the top piece was a bit loose because of the gap needed for the hood header bar to slot into

So I cut a strap bracket from what remained of the old bar, ground the corners and edges and mirror polished both the top bit and the strap bracket and refixed

Really happy with it now - looks beautiful and should be really strong
