Just a little over 200-miles today, but it did include the Susten, Grimsel, Furka and Gothard passes as we drove from Horw in Switzerland to Como in Italy! drive

Mainly sunny, but we did have some showers. A great experience with another modern Plus 8 and a couple of Series V Aero 8's in the group. Will post some photos when we are back in Blighty. grin2

Check the rear damper mountings on the backplates. There's a tendency for the bracket to fail.

Jacked up nothing lose nipped up the ubolt nuts

But weight of car and movement is very different trying to induce by hand!

Would it be very obvious if the backplate went? gave dampers a good tug and nowt obvious.

Yes the plate would be cracked and loose. Give them a visual though because a semi failure might cause a knock.

It gave no problems yesterday on our trip through the passes Adrian, despite some enthusiastic driving and high ambient temperatures. Water temperature reached 105C, with aircon engaged, but no issues.

No driving today as we had a day sightseeing by foot in Como, including a trip in the funicular railway!

Bellagio beckons tomorrow, with maybe side trips to Villa D'Este and Villa Carlotta...
