Hi I bought a M3W 6 months ago and signed up to the Talk Morgan forum at the time and have very much enjoyed gaining access to views & opinions. It's the best purchase I have ever made and now I am hooked on Morgan cars (as is my wife which is a great plus!)
I've gone completely mad and now want to buy another Morgan and really like the look of the blue 80th anniversary edition. It just looks so basic and simple but looks really attractive (I especially like the side exhaust) Will I be disappointed in the drive and power? I'm not after a performance car just something fun to drive that we can go away in for long weekends and uk holidays. Will I regret not going for a Plus 4 ?
Going out for a test drive in a 4/4 and Plus 4 at the weekend but very much in favour of the Aniversary edition based on looks

Hello Mil if you really like the look of the blue 80th anniversary , i think you had to buy it.Follow the feeling. You can have as much fun in an 4/4 as in an +4.

The 4/4 Sigma is a great engine. It pulls well is very every economical and can be easily mildly tuned for a tad more zippedy dooo dah..if you want it!
I too like the Anniversary - but not the bonnet staps!!

Drive both and let the car choose you.
One of them will feel right.

I'd get a dark blue +4 if t's just the colour. The 1600 Sigma is a nice little engine - but it is a little engine. When you intend to use 5th gear you need to tune the engine...
It depends on your priorities, your driving style, your pocket money and other things. Make some test drives to find out what suits you best.

Ours cruises happily in 5th on Motorways and fast A roads. Not sure which model year you refer to, but the axle ratio changed on 4/4's in the last 4 years.

Welcome to TM and Morgans Disease.
As already said, Perry has the 80th Anniversay in Saxe Blue. It does look lovely.
I always thing which Morgan is determined by how you intend to use it and what floats your boat. Having driven several larger engined Morgans I am so happy with my 4/4 Sigma as its a very revvy engine and combined with the nimbleness of the narrow body it takes a lot of beating. As others say, try a 4/4 and a Plus 4 and see which is for you.
